The NFL has suspended Atlanta Falcons LB Robert James four games for a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
The team confirmed the suspension to the AP.
James was a fifth-round draft choice in 2008 who had appeared in just one game in 2009 for the Falcons.
The suspension would be in effect for the first four games of the 2010 season. He would be eligible to participate in training camp and the preseason.

New Zealand and Slovakia meet at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg for a Group F encounter in the 2010 World Cup. These two teams are considered underdogs in the group but this does not mean that they won't pull of a shocker and do well. Group F also contains Italy and Paraguay so it should be an interesting one to watch.
Slovakia is new team for this world cup although this side was once part of the Czechoslovakia squad. Slovakia didn't display too many spectacular performances on their way to South Africa, but they were able to do all that was needed.
